Does anyone know of any good shops in Los Angeles where I could try out different soprano mouthpieces...I'm currently playing on a Liebman II Sugal, but I'd like something a little warmer and with a more closed tip.

Try Baxter-Northup in Sherman Oaks on Ventura Blvd., just west of Van Nuys Blvd. They have a representative stock of mouthpieces, new and used.

Yes for Baxter-Northrup. Also, try Scimonetti's in Lancaster CA. It is a little further but those of us who have made the trip have come away very pleased with the service and the store in general. DAVE
