Tank!

There's this song and it's called Tank!. I'm having trouble placing it in a Genre(Not well exposed as I should be to Jazz Genres). I'm thinking its hard bop?. The song was composed by Yokko Kano who creates music for anime(theme song for a series called Cowboy Bebop). Shes created many excellent songs that I believe could have made it on their own with out the anime exposure. If any one out there could help me find groups that create music with the same feel as whats is shown in "Tank!" that would be great. Also if you like "Tank!" then you might like "Rush," "Piano Black" and Bad dog No Biscuits"(same person).

The band that plays "Tank" is called "The Seatbelts", and truthfully, I haven't found many other bands that play with the same groove and funk that they play in. I personally love their stuff, and the closest I've found is a great big band called the Slide Hampton and the Jazz Masters. They have put out a couple of Cd's which are EXCELLENT where many incredible players are featured.
