I've been leading a (very) amatuer saxophone quartet for 3 years now. We have some 30 tunes in our book, all original arrangements, mostly old pop tunes and christmas carols.
I've been considering putting all our arrangements in PDF format and putting them on a website for free download. It would be a lot of work, so I thought I'd check for interest beforehand.
Would anyone be interested in a bunch of amatuer arrangements?

I definitely would be...as long as they're decent ;)
Are your current arrangements handwritten?
If you already have them in a notation program like Finale or Sibelius converting them to .pdf will take a matter of minutes.

They're in Noteworthy. I've tried a few methods of PDF-ing them and I think the easiest so far is just scanning the printed versions (plus I can make my siblings do it for me).
Tophatsax, didn't I send you a copy of Bohemian Rhapsody? What did you think of it?

I know my quartet would be. New music is always welcome.

It's always a problem finding enough material to keep two 4-tets going without making myself broke. I would be delighted to have the chance of looking at your collection.

To be honest, since our Quartet is AATB, I hadn't downloaded Noteworthy until this morning. I liked it, I want to hear it with the Quartet instead of the midi, but I think it will be fun.
Our Alto 1 player is planning on getting a Soprano in the next month, so I'll be looking for more SATB arrangements (so I'd love to get some more of yours). Thanks

One of my goals is to form a local sax quartet made up of community band members willing to take the time and make the effort for it, and having some arrangements to play from a fellow amateur would be great. Plus, I also have a multi-channel recorder I've been threatening to use in an attempt to be my own quartet, play all the SATB parts.

I need to do a lot of my work on tone and intonation, and have found this a fun way to do just that (also good for working on keeping time). It is a lot of fun, so I'd recommend you follow through on that threat!
Windmusicplus.com is having some decent sales this summer (clarinet music this week) and the e-mail announcement highlighted Christmas music. So - I have a bout 26 pieces I'm working on- from duos to quintets. I'd love to get a 'live' quartet together, but I'm short on time for now.... :cry: - Jeff

I would also be very interested.
There are several inexpensive ($30) pdf converters out there that pretend to be a printer on your computer. (i.e. you would tell Noteworthy to print and when the printer dialogue came up, you select the "fake" pdf printer).
The one I use is called Win2PDF and I am very happy with the results.

There are also some out there that you can use for free. I don't know how well they work, as I don't use them, I think one was called 'CutePDF' (search download.com for these things, there should be plenty). I just make people that want to see/hear my music get finale notepad.

Ok, this is turning out to be harder then I thought. Turns out I can't convert unregistered noteworthy files to anything (I did register once, but it got away in a computer crash and I decided I didn't want to spend another $40..)
