When I doing long tone exercise on my alto, I found very heavy air & saliva sound. The noise is on all middle notes but start from low C# to low Bb has no problem.

I use either a Beechler metal #6 or a Dukoff metal #6, Java 2.5 reed.
I don't have this problem when I use these metal mouthpiece + Fibracell, or a V-16/ Meyer 6M + Java (or any other cane reed).

Sometime I found after playing 30 mintues, the air sound seem to be less. But I don't want to wait 30 mintues, I want to have clean sound. What problem you think? I like my metal MP sound & don't want switch to any synthetic reed. Any suggestion how to reduce/minimize such air sound? Thank you very much!

Apply some chapstick inside your mouthpiece where the baffle is. Problem goes away immediately.

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean "chapstick"? What it is? Or you wnat to say "chopstick"? But that's no meaning.

I hread some player apply some wax inside the mouthpiece to reduce air &saliva sound. But I wonder if it's harmful to our lung???

Chapstick is a brandname for moisturizing lip balm, which can be found in most drug stores.

Applying wax inside the mouthpiece doesn't help much. It has to be insoluble to water so your spit can slide right off. Something like oil or corkgrease will work. Applying chapstick (a stick of lip balm, as Razzy mentioned) inside just seems cleaner. You won't ever have the spit problems again but make sure you apply evenly.

Thanks for valuable advice ! I just use a little bit chapstick (lemon favor) on the MP baffle, at least 90% air/saliva noise was gone!!
Also, when I turn-over my horn after paying it for an hour, the saliva was much less than before (It was terrible before...). I like this!

Just one question, when I was playing horn, my lip feel a little bit cold + menthol taste, is it harmful for heath in the long-run?

probably not harmful, many people use it on their lips every day.
