Anybody know anything about whether or not Sting plays the sax, or if he's any good, or any of that? Look at the last picture at the bottom of the page.

Sting played alto on one of the Police recordings, Demolition man? been a long time since I listened, rudimentary stuff, but it was one of those situations where the sum was greater than the total of its parts.
I think he played on Walking in Your Footsteps, too. Again, more of a big picture, "sound canvas" kind of thing...

Nice "home studio", Sting!
I think he also plays a few squiggles on the intro to Spirits In The Material World.

Yeah, Sting played sax on the Police album "Ghost in the Machine". This was around the time (1981?) where other pop stars, ie. Joe Jackson - Night and Day, decided that they could play sax themselves for some "color" on their album.
Thank god Sting hired Branford by the time he came out with The Dream of the Blue Turtles...
