View Full Version : Shipping Delay/Open Apology for delay...

Mainly an open apology to those who have ordered mouthpiece within the past week that still has not shipped...
Explanation: one of course, Memorial Day. Mainly though, my 10 month old son has had to have MRI's and appointments with Surgeons over the past week... Since I personally try and process every order, many of the smaller shipments have been delayed.
As for my boy, he will be fine. He has a growth on his nose (Nasal Dermoid) that has to be removed... because if it isnt, it will eventually get infected and will lead to Menengitis. This also does mean that there will be some other delays in the future (sometime this month) when he goes in for surgery.
I appreciate the understanding and messages of support for those members who were aware of the situation.

Dave: I'm one who ordered an additional tenor mouthpiece right after the horn arrived before Memorial Day. But I'd wait forever for your son's repairs. Best of luck to you and your family - send the piece when you can. DAVE

I haven't ordered anything, but also wanted to add my support for your son. Like Dave Dolson said, get his repairs done first.
Best wishes,

Crass commercial transactions aren't nearly as important as your son's continued health.

Very, very true, but the announcement is appreciated. I will also cross-post this in the Kessler Saxophones area.
==========
A lot of y'all know the many health issues my 20-month-old has had, so Dave, I can empathize. We'll be thinking about ya!

Dave: Certainly no apology is necessary under these circ's. Bach and I pray your son will be okay and that you and your wife will soon be blessed with concern-free peace, love and joy we know you share for your baby.

Family first (a father of four here) but I am sure those that did order appreciate the customer service involved in letting everyone know what's happening.
My prayers are with you and your son.

Best of luck and prayers to you Dave. I went through alot of that when my kids were young, and feel for you. The hardest part of life is seeing your children suffer any pain whatsoever. I will be thinking of you.

All's well. His surgery went smoothly. The growth had grown even more up towards his forehead so the surgeon did have to make a small cut on the front of his nose (he tried going strictly through a Rhinoplasty style cut) to be sure to get all of the material.
My boy is doing fine. In fact so well that they released us from the hospital only 2 hours after the surgery when originally, we were told that he would have to stay overnight. Aside from being a little groggy for about 6 hours from the Morphine, he perked right up and was back to being the anwry little explorer that he is.

Dave,
Just saw the posts on your son and add my congratulations on a successful surgery. Guess now all of you are breathing a little easier. (Sorry, but much easier to do because all is well now.).
