I just want to add a hearty endorsement here for the mouthpiece refacing work that Mojo does. I also highly recommend checking out the pieces he has for sale, I think his work is really good. I recently sent him my Bove (Brazilian made) that looked like a very interesting piece but didn't play much to my personal liking. Mojo turned this "drawer duster" into my most favorite mouthpiece to play on. It now plays with great ease and has just the right bite in the tone that I like while still maintaining a nice thick rich sound. His turn-around time was swift as well. Five star service all the way around with great communication and able to really make the piece do what I wanted it to do. Check'em out at

Thanks. This Bove is most like the from the same company that is making the Bob Ackerman clones of vintage mouthpieces. This tenor MP kinda looked like a metal Link with a medium wedge baffle and straight sidewalls. I was a good basic MP design, I just closed it down some and put a good facing on it.

I just receive 2 bari pieces, Mojo work for me. A stainless berg and a brilhart special. Both pieces are now very free blowing with great sound. Its especialy magic for the berg because it doesn't work before.
Thanks keith

Just got my tenor Dukoff M8 back from Mojo and what a difference!
Plays altissimo wonderfully and subtones nicely as well. It's been so long since I've seen a nice tip rail on a Dukoff I'd forgotten what it looked like.
Thanks Mojo, I see why people who have a good Dukoff really like them.

Ditto for Mojo's work on my Runyon sop Smoothbore. :D

Thanks again fellers.

BTW, I usually respond to all Email inquiries within a few hours. If you do not hear back from me within a day or so, there is probably something wrong with one of our communications. Try again!

one more hearty endorsement for Mojo. he took a squeeky crooked-tipped dukoff hr fluted chamber tenor mpc and turned it into a magic piece that ruins any excuse i have for not getting a magnificent tone. It is truly the best piece i've ever owned. Better than my JVW-refaced brass 40's dukoff (that i never should have sold--but oh well). Better than the Florida Link that i sold (and probably shouldn't have--but oh well, again.) I have no more mpc. gas thanks to his fine work.

And Mojo, if you ever see this hr dukoff for sale by me on this forum, for crisesakes kick my butt. but that's never gonna happen. 8)

Just to add my voice to the compliments - Mojo just tweaked two Runyon SR tenor pieces for me, and they are wonderful. I look forward to using him more in the future.

I have found it neccessary to raise my rates (typically $10 more per service). I agonized over this decision for several weeks. I contemplated the growing backlog of work and the other things in my life I would like to spend more time on. The last thing I wanted was to start to resent doing mouthpiece work. I typically spend 3-6 hours on each piece, so my available time is chewed up fast. I have a day job, gigs, family obligations, and other interests. I'm sorry if this puts my service out of reach of some players that could benefit from it. But I still think it is a good value.

Ditto on the Dukoff thread...not only did he turn a squeeky, asymmetric facing with no tip rail at all, he created a real work of art. This will be my main piece from now on...hard to imagine anything better

...(he) = MojoBari

I particularly like the signature on the piece!! It's too bad that JVW never signed his artwork...
