If anyone has some Albert system clarinet parts??? I'm interested. I need keys, particularly the long key that operates the low "E" or "F#". Preferably no rollers. And would prefer it for a high pitch clarinet, but am interested in other parts too. Let me know what you have.... I'm at: <bgaulke@techline.com> and I'm in WA state..

Bill, you get the prize for the most "unique" search items on SOTW!

Is this part of some secret NAPBIRT initiation or ritual?? C'mon . . . you can tell us! :D

Hi Fred,,,
Ritiual??? man where are you coming from...I just happen to deal only in Albert system clarinets... I play them 95% of the time, and they work great for me in Dixie-land bands. I restore them and repair them and I just happen to need some spare parts. I tried selling and restoring the Bohem clarinets and found absolutly no market for them, student grade or other wise (pro level). Oh, I do have a wood-wind repair business. Now is that soooooooooooo odd? If so,, please tell me..And maybe I'll do something else...
Thanx,
Bill

Oh Fred,,, what do you do for a living....???

Hi, Bill. I hope you perceived the jest in my post, and didn't take offense at it, but I fear you took it the wrong way. I apologize for offending you; it was definitely unintentional. While I don't play Albert, I'm well aware of their following, though you must admit it is not mainstream. Still, there are some really beautiful old Conns and others out there still wailin' away thanks to guys like you. I have another buddy that has to be the #1 authority on metal clarinets - another niche struggling for survival in the wide world of sameness. And for you to include High Pitch instruments in your endeavors truly makes it a labor of love. So, breathe easy . . . and I hope you find all the parts you need.
