Does any have or know where ot find pictures of the 82Z unlacqured pictures after various amounts of time. I am wondering what they look like maybe after 3 months, 6 months, and over a year or 2???

Saxofunk's pointer shows what looks like a unlacquered horn with a copper neck. Interesting. 8-)

Uh... according to the sight... Jeff Coffin says...
"I have been playing the Yamaha Z Series tenor & alto (both unlacquered with a G gold plated neck) for a couple years now and have done well over 500 dates with them so far and they are holding up beautifully. They have a quality and character to the sound that I really love, they respond very quickly and evenly and the intonation is great."

Sure does look like copper in the small photo, though. He has a great Soprano sound, too- but no idea what sop he plays.

Jeff recently did an interview in some magazine and there were several good pics. I have scoured his site, Jazztimes and Downbeat to no avail. :(

Just reading through this today. Jeff's necks are both Gold. He plays a high 1xx,xxx Mark VI soprano with a Theo Wanne custom mouthpiece.
