This horn's essentially the updated version of the Bundy II.
There's nothing really fabulous about it. It's pretty rugged, but if you're not gonna beat on the horn, I'd suggest that you look at the Yamaha horns -- or even some of the somewhat inexpensive "pro" horns, like Antigua Winds, Cannonball, etc.

Late post, but I used to play a Selmer 1244 all 4 years in highschool and it took some abuse, but it was a solid horn all the way thru. Played it in jazz and marching, worked well for both.
