Hey!
There was an old discussion about Alto/Soprano double cases.
I would really like to get one sometime soon. Any thoughts? Web sights? Etc... Im just sick of lugging around 3 big cases... it gets old in a hurry!
All help appreciated!
Thanks guys,
Steve P

I'm responding to a very old post here, but I think it still has relevance because these are a rare breed.
Reunion Blues makes combo alto/soprano gig bags in cloth and leather. They even make tenor/soprano bags as well. See the attached link for an example on musician's friend:

When mine arrives...I'll let you know about the quality

Stephan Boesken can sell you a SUPERB alto/soprano case! I just bought one and it is fantastic. It is basically the same as the BAM backpack design, but not nearly as expensive as the BAM. :!:

Steve P: Make sure you get a wheeled cart with it. Those cases can become extra heavy if you have to carry it too far. I know - I about tore my arm out of my shoulder socket one year at the Sacramento jazz festival trying to lug my combo case from venue to venue to bus stops to the motel, etc. DAVE

Ortola makes one, a number of UK dealers offer it for example http://www.bill-lewington.com/ortola.htm I believe it is an Italian made product, hopefully they have a dealer where you live.
It is very similar to the BAM design if of a slightly poorer finish. It is a neat solution, and because it is of a lightweight construction, its not too bad to carry when loaded up. And, by the way, it does take a Keilwerth alto. I tried the two horns I had at the time and might have bought it had it not been in a foul dark green colour!

that one looks like it holds either an alto or soprano, but not both... or is it bigger than it looks?

The soprano sits in a padded tray along the top of the case.
I got a reunion blues one...
Is yours very hard to close? And how is its waterproofing?

no problems closing it. Its leather, so pretty waterproof. Don't know how good the cloth one is.
