I have an old G.H. bari mouthpiece, plated brass, of which I am fond but which has seen better days. For one thing the plating is almost completely gone, and it has some small nicks along the rails and tip.

Nonetheless, it plays great, so I'm a little unsure about having more than a slight clean-up done so that it can be replated. It appears to have been worked on in it's past but I would have no clue of whose work it might be.

Would any of the people mentioned in the "refacers" thread be better suited to this than another, including dealing with getting it replated as well as doing a nice job touching it up?

thnx for any suggestions..

I would suggest Mojobari. I have had him do some work and it was very well done.

I have an old Guy Hawkins metal tenor piece that has seen better days, the tip and rails and table seem fine, though could use a minor tweaking, but the exterior is scratched from a previous owners metal lig.

underrated mpcs IMHO.
