Hi ! I,ve recently bought A Pennsylvania Special Tenor, made in Czecoslovakia circa 1945 i'm told. It's a very good horn with that vintage sound, just needs a little" tweeking" .Any history on tis would be appreciated.
Thanks SB
It's a Keilwerth. http://www.saxpics.com/Keilwerth/early.htm

Still not clear on this. There's no Selmer name on the sax. Are you convinced it's an early Keilworth ?
90%. Even higher if it looks like the horns pictured on the website, above :).

Stephen: Pete (saxpics) pretty much knows his stuff. May I suggest you provide a better description (finish; keywork; serial number - partial, of course; all engraved/stamped letters and numbers) AND post some photos of all sides? That way, Pete and/or someone else who may recognize the horn can chime in. DAVE
