Well, I have had my brand new stone series gold lacquer arc soprano for about a month and this thing is just great. I am mainly a tenor player and have never played soprano before, I did get out and try quite a few other sops of different makers and this one played the best for me.
Actually, I had the opportunity to play the curved and straight cannonball models before ordering the Arc version, and man, I am glad I did, neither of the other two versions quite did it for various reasons.
I went through a bit of a mouthpiece search as well and ended up with selmer super session H, a very nice playing mpc, it gives me the best tone and ease of play. Both fibracells and rico royals play great on this piece, the rico royals have a warmer more pleasing tone imo.
Best,
Tony
