On alto I've settled on my JVW modified Meyer 6m (opened to 0.083) My backup piece is the Kessler NYSS.
These choices were decided after playing some larger tipped rubber Berg's, my Jody Jazz ESP 0.090, my composite JJ #8 and the Selmer Super Session D that came with the horn.

Tenor: A Lawton 8B or a Barone Jazz (linkish piece).
I find that I need a brighter mpc than on other horns or it tends to get too dark quickly. Im probably going to add a slight baffle to the Barone pice.
Im also playing a Barone neck rather than the stock neck. It gives a bigger sound and cleaner crisper highs.

On alto at the moment i'm using a Beechler (but its actually a tenor Beechler with alto reeds) Check my thread out in the general mouthpiece disscusion if that confuses anybody lol

I haven't had too many opportunites to try different mpcs on the 2 Refs that I played, but the P. Mauriat that I'm buying has a very "Reference 54" kind of sound to it. My Barone Jazz piece is perfect on that horn, if you want a really, really fat. lush tone. It the closest I've ever been able to get to a Getz kind of sound.

Jody Jazz HR 7*, using Van Doren V16 2,5: very colourfull sound.
New one is a Morgan Excalibur 8EL, just started with it: louder than the JJ HR*, a bit brighter but not as fat as the JJ.
