It IS a little too close but easily adjusted to once you play the Dolnets. The angle of the bell on mine, the way it angles to the left of the body, took a little getting used to as well, but mine plays so wonderfully that little adjustments are worthwhile.

Spotted a dead-mint lacquer M70 on ebay Deutschland 2 weeks ago. Was advertised for 300 Bucks and I just got outbid at the last second. Almost got it for 500. You should have seen this Tenor, it was a true beauty. That guy got it for maybe 800 which may sound expensive at the rate Dolnet sell these days but given the rarity of M70s and the condition of that one, I would have paid that money...if only I had it!!!
