In Sue Terry's "Practice like the Pros" she recommends the Consoli Ramplig ligature. On viewing the website, I was so impressed with the endorsements that I ordered one (Tenor).
Anyone using one who would care to offer an opinion?

I use a bright version(in blue!) on my tenor Quantum. I also have a Rovner dark. the Consoli increases responsiveness, and there is a more "open" quality to the sound, plus John Consoli, the inventor is a nice guy :D

I wish they made a bright version in black. I had a blue one once and it disapeared. I thought it was pretty nice though. My brother really liked it on his clarinet when he tried mine.

Be interested to see how the lig performs when it comes down.
Feel free to email me, as I'd really like to come down and sponge off your experience for pointers one night!!
Cheers mate - enjoyed the praccy tonight.

Has anyone tried a bright version on a Tenor Metal Otto Link? I have a hand made Conrad Johnson metal ligature. It works OK but it is showing its age. :D

I've used the same Consoli bright (size C) on my tenor quantum and my Link STM, works great.

I have a bright in green for soprano, I use a size AAA on a metal Quantum or Jody Jazz. It is a neat little lig and does perform well. It is a fiddle to place it though, unlike a metal lig or even a Rovner, it doesn't stay in shape and you kind of need three hands to hold mouthpiece, reed and lig as you tighten it up. You can easily catch and damage the reed tip with the lig when you place it on the mouthpiece. Its also not that easy to make fine adjustments to the reed position when its on the mouthpiece.

I place the lig on the mpc first, actually it stays there at all times with a dead reed in place when it's not being played.
I loosen the lig just enough to slide the dead reed out. Using my left thumb to hold it in place on the ramp, I slide the new reed into place butt first, line it up and tighten the lig down, done.
It does slip a bit if I try to adjust the mpc position on the neck while the reed is in place, but I have that same problem with Rovner ligs.
It has been years since I placed a reed on the mpc and then tried slipping a ligature on, just asking for trouble that way...

I've got my Ramplig Bright on tenor and soprano - significant improvement!!!! It adds some zizz to my Jody Jazz ESP on tenor and the response and resonanace is so good it made a mirror fall off my wall yesterday! (no, it did not break).
This lig seems to be unique inasmuch as the device which clamps the reed to the mpc table runs along the length of the reed, rather than across it. Sort of with the grain, allowing optimal reed vibration. The fabric on the bright lig is much thinner and finer; I suppose this means minimum damping of the vibes, hence brighter sound. Yep I do like it muchissimo :D
