I'm looking for a mouthpiece for my alto. I have a Conn New Wonder series I in sweet condition, what moutpiece should i consider for it? It didnt come with its original moutpiece and most modern mouthpieces dont sound as good with it. I've been playing several years and can definitely tell my horn needs a vintage mouthpiece.
Thanks a bunch

All I have to say is good job choosing horns! I don't know a whole lot about vintage mouthpieces, but why wouldn't a modern work? I'm sure you could find something. Anyways, good luck with the mouthpiece selection.

Try a Morgan jazz model. Those things are new with the craftmanship of all the good old vintage pieces.

If you like metal mouthpieces with a 'rubber like feel' in your mouth,
check out my Jazz series. Fat body metal piece with large chamber - moderate long straight baffle - amazing projection. Great ease of playing.

There's one on eBay right now - great player with a strong vintage tone.
