Just when I thought I was ready to pull the trigger on a Kessler 586, I see these and wonder: is it worth it?; how will I feel 5yrs from now?

Best thing to do is to try the horns out yourself to see what you like best. Something you can't necessarily do online...

Tom: I know that every horn is different . . . that one of those horns on the eBay auctions you listed might be a terrific player, etc., etc. But given my experiences with similar horns, I'd rather have the Antigua. Plus, buying from Dave Kessler gives you a fall-back plan should you not like the horn after you purchase it. Buying off of eBay does not allow that privilege.

In five years, I'll bet the Antigua will still be a good horn. If you are worried about pride-of-ownership issues, then bite the bullet and buy a Yanagisawa now. DAVE
