Greetings. I play in kabaree of some sort. We play California dreaming- song, and I'm only wind there. I despiretly (os. ) need the solo heard on recording, played by flute, I think, notes. I will transpose (or what is it called?) it to my need. Beach Boys-version. Or something, well you got it.

Please mail it to me. Any file goes. Zip, pdf, doc, ram. Or send it here.

This is urgent!

Though I dont know is it improvisation solo. I WOULD listen to cd and write it down, but I'm lousy at hearing notes.

Gandar, I can send a midi file to you that has the flute solo written out in such a way that you can pick out the notes if it will help. JSAXL@aol.com

No no. You didn't get it. I have no skill of hearing anything related to music at all. Intervals, notes, tunings, you name it. That makes me worse player, but I do can read notes. That's why I want just notes.

I could get MIDI's, MP3's or others anywhere and from what ever I like. That isn't problem.

(Damn why you cant edit!)

But thanks for trying.

Gandar, if you have the MIDI file, you can import it to a music editing program (Finale, Sibelius, Noteworthy Composer, to name a few) and print out the solo note for note. No hearing involved, only sight reading!

You cannot import and print an MP3 or WAV file, but MIDI has all the notes in it. You can print complete arrangements from a good MIDI file in a couple of seconds...

Gee, you learn every day something new. Well, let's give it a try. (In this point I mailed John Laughter about that MIDI)

I'll let you know how did I succeed.
