There is an unlaquered Borgani Ponzol tenor on ebay. Anybody know any information on these? I was aware of a Keilwerth Ponzol model but not a relationship with the Italian company.
Thanks, Stretch
Good article written from repair tech's point of view:

The rest of the site is excellent too!

Thanks Dan, that is a good site. The seller ended the auction early.

Hehe, I missed that tenor the first time it was around. But he relisted and I did the Buy It Now. $1500 for a Ponzol Borgani looks like a steal to me. Can't wait to give it a blow!

Don't worry man, I plan on giving you a full review after I've played it for a while. I've been busy with work and family, but normally I check every sax auction up on eBay. I was really surprised nobody went for the Buy It Now the first time. True, it is a rather obscure saxophone, but I've been extremely thrilled with all the Borgani Jubilees I have played. Just looking at the design of the Ponzol model instrument you can tell a lot of the ideas were carried through to the Jubilee model.
Will I ever find a great Jubilee for $1500? Highly unlikely. If the Ponzol isn't my style of tenor sax I'm sure I'll be able to find a buyer without too much difficulty and recoup my investment. Currently I'm playing a Selmer Ser. II, and it isn't a perfect match for my playing. Great playing axe, but just doesn't feel right (mostly from an airstream/resistance point of view.) Well, at the end of all my testing at least one tenor will be going on to a new home.

Now you got me worried.
I sent him money via US postal express for
tacking ED 268244275 and he recieved it today at 3p.m
He also said only domestic sales in his first listing.
He hasn't been answering my calls all of a sudden.

Were you dealing with Zohndell with this same Ponzol tenor, or some other instrument? Please let me know ASAP.

well some text and 2 photo's were lifted from another website - I hope that that is not a bad sign..
I have owned one of these - it's a good horn, but it's no Jubilee. I have the Jubilee now. The Ponzol Borgani is a different animal altogether. It has the same body, a big generic sound, but without the sonic complexity, depth, or malleability. By the way, I had mine on SOTW for 1500 for a long time. Nobody even inquired.

Hi to all.
This sax was mine all of the time!...some dude had ripped the pic's from my sax tech's web-site(shwoodwind),then put it on the web for sale."how low can u go". All said and done if you find a B/Ponzol tenor BUY IT!. Mine now lives in a Walt johnson case. It has had Nr 5 years pro-use and i am head over heels in love with it. Think 10m with modern key work & very fast response. Also if you do find one, like mine it will prob-need approx $300.00 spent on it with a very good sax tech. Yours M.E
P.S. I use an old 7* Flo/Link
