View Full Version : Ernie Northway 7 TEnor SAx Mouthpiece
I had an old Ernie Northway 7 Tenor Saxophone mouthpiece which played beautifully and I was wondering if anyone knows anything about that particular mouthpiece.
I have not seen anything in the literature, brochures, or dealers who
know anything about this particular mouthpiece.
Any suggestions or information would be appreciated

I played an Ernie Northway hardrubber mpc for several years . I really liked it. He is from the Salt Lake area and may or may not be still making mpcs. Yours probably has a baffle. He's into that. The mpcs can be on the bright side .

P.S I still have one of his tenor mpcs here. It's a 7. I sold the other to a SOTWer several years ago. If you are interested in the one I have here email me at Chezmusic@aol.com
Thanks for the info. I also liked that Northway 7. It had a pretty high baffle and played with a hard edge. I was thinking along the lines of seeing whether or not a Northway 6 or something less open would be less bright.
I used a #2 Rico Royal Reed with that NOrthway 7 mp but I could not get a less edgy sound on it.
