I struggled with a guitar tuner for a long time. I tried several computer plugins, those were worse. Got around to depending on my ear and a piano sample on the keyboard. Now I have a strobe tuner (peterson 400), and I'm much happier. Works a lot better on bass guitar than the guitar tuner did. It's also good for testing your pitch in singing and through the range on sax. Having it marked for Eb and Bb as well as C (plus F) helps. Better results in my case than the handheld digitals, anyway. The original mic is handy, too. Just turn on, dial in and tune in.

What all is everyone using for a tuner ... ?

I have two, both showing pitch with red and green lights. One has several red lights to indicate how far off pitch you are which I find preferable to the Cort 205 which just shows whether you are b or #. Excellent tool to determine intonation of an instrument you may be buying (provided You can maintain a consistent embouchure)
