Can anyone suggest a small chamber, minimal baffle replacement for an old metal Selmer ( alto ) - it truly sang on my old horn, but the brass has worn away ( the rails look pitted :-( ). I'd like something that sings ( is it the round bore ( which looks tiny)?) but costs somewhat less than a new Selmer metal. Any help is greatly appreciated!! Links and Bambers sound good but the intonation goes out the window - way out...
Thanks in advance!

John,
So you said the old Selmer looks pitted etc. What are you going to do with it?
I can do a great refacing job that will include fresh silver plating.

Pitted anything on a mouthpiece is usually caused by storing the mouthpiece with the ligature and no reed on it. I'd suggest getting it refaced by someone such as Theo Wanne, then storing it either without the ligature, or with a REED (just some old junky one) and a ligature on it.
