Hi all, just want your opinions on that horn and the price I payed, which I think was pretty modest, but I'd be glad to hear some comments. So to the point, I bought a used YTS-32 for 590 EUR couple weeks ago, it's in quite good condition, but I think it might be pretty old. The pads seem to be mostly ok, but I think there might be some minor leaks in the lower pads, however the horn is playable over the entire range. The left hand C#-key has also a minor mechanical problem, but nothing serious and I think I can service that myself.

It's my first tenor, I've been playing alto for a bit over a year. The mouthpiece I got with the Yamaha is some crappy bakelite standard
mpc, and I quite don't like it. Any recommendations for a good mpc on YTS-32? I was thinking maybe Selmer S80D or E, because I've got a
S80C* for alto and it was huge improvement over the standard mouthpiece. Also the metal Lakey sounds interesting for it's cheap price and I understand it is bright sounding, which I'd like.

Thanks in advance for any opinions you might have :)

I owned and sold on a nice YTS32 afew months ago for around £700 - it was in VERY good condition. I think that they are probably the best sub -professional horns I have tried - they have most of the good technical features of the yts62(without the build quality) and are SO easy to blow. I played hard rubber Jumbo Java Vandorens on it and they made a good sound.

ive just tried today a few tenor mps and they were on a yts-32 that i tried them.

i tried a few ottolink metal mps and i have to say that i was quite pleased with th result.

it was 160$ canadia, so i think it would be about 110-120$ Us.
