I play a Bob Ackerman metal Link copy mouthpiece. It plays like a dream. But being metal it can be quite buzzy or spitty. I play RSJ 3s,Vandoren ZZ 3 reeds. Are there other reeds that my be less buzzy? I'm trying to smooth out my tone a bit(closer to a Stan Getz tone). My HR Otto Link has more the sound I want but it doesn't play anywhere near as good as this Ackerman piece. Thanks for any recommendations.

Orange Rico.
Somehow I find these sounding warmer than many other types of reeds. A majority of them in a box of 25 are very playable.

1. Try harder strengths.

2. Try a Vandoren Traditional 2 1/2 or 3 or a Hemke 3 or 3 1/2.

colibri, I agree about them sounding warm, I'm very happy with them on a rubber Link.
