Anyone tried one of these lately? Since my wife's alto appears to be reasonably well made and sounds pretty good I'm wondering about the curved soprano. It's under $1,400(gold lacquer), which is a bargain these days......

I just test played one of these out of curiosity, and was pleasantly surprised. The sound was much better than I expected. The finish wasn't bad looking, but not the quality of a Yani of course. I used my Super Session and Optimum lig, and liked the sound a lot. Made me realize how much I miss playing a curved soprano. Only thing I didn't like was because I have small hands/pinky the LH keys were quite a reach for me. For someone with a longer pinky and not enough money for a Yani this would be a nice affordable ($1,295) alternative.

Just got one in gold lac..so far so good..good tone. Action is quick and solid. Smaller key work than a Selmer layout. Took me a few minutes to adjust.Nice finish.Great intonation too :D .

Horn's gotten stuffy last couple of jobs. I think it's likely a reed issue too. I'm using a wide Bari Hawk #8 metal pc. and a #2 reed still isn't free blowing. A trip to the shop and I'll have the horn checked and pick up some 1 1/2's. :?

Well I got my curved LA Sop adjusted. Was missing a cork and a stack adjustment For $20.00 and the thing really plays quite well. I have a Selmer Series III straight Sop as well so I know what really good feels like. Well yeah it's a cheapo but I'm amazed an imitation can sound so good..Very well in tune, the alt rips and overall a good solid Sop sound. On my delay the crowd goes nuts..
