Anyone played one of these? How do they compare to the later models (projection, tuning)?

I currently have a Martin soprano and alto that were both made in 1927. Based on what I've read, I was expecting that these would not have a "big" sound like the later Martins have due to the difference in bore size, however I am very happy with the how well these project. Tuning is pretty good too. Should I expect the same from a mid 20's tenor?

I compared an later Handcraft tenor with a The Martin Tenor...

Soundwise they are very comparable..
Except the very low register. The The Martin Tenor has a fuller, more powerfull tone downunder....

Ergonomics (as far as i can remember) are better on the The Martin ___
