I bought this neck few days ago for my son at eBay.(but I haven't received it yet.)
The seller said that this'll can be used on MK6 tenor.
He said it's selmer sterling silver model.
But I don't know it's actual model name and number.
Even in henry-selmer's site,I can't take out any information about this one.
Let me know...if there are ones who used this, tell us your experience and enjoy together..

yes,and I'm sincerely willing to know whether this neck is good or bad for my some bad-sounding MK6.

This is a selmer USA neck. Some people really like these on their horns. I believe there might be either an A or B stamped on the neck. The A for thick wall and B for thin wall(or other way around?). Somehere that has one should be able to tell you.

Depending on your horn, it may or may not fit.
You will likely have to get it sized, unless you are lucky.
I have used one of these before and while I liked the sound, I found the intonation dodgy for me.
Hopefully you won't have my experience.
Keep us posted.

CodyW and Randall:
can you tell me what is thick wall or thin wall?
if I bought something bad one,it's impossible for me to fit my MK6?
My mk6 tenor was made in 1970.I'm afraid it may not fit my sax.

That neck on Bootman's site used to be MINE.
As to getting it to fit...sizing the neck tenon to fit your new neck shouldn't be a big problem if you have a competent repair guy in your area.....

"91600A" model is the "standard wall"
"91600B" model is the "thin wall" (most common, from what I hear it is considered the better playing of the two.)
The neck will be stamped with either an A or B on the brance under the neck. I bought one a while back that a music store had special ordered and nobody ever picked up. Mine is the thin wall model. If the tenon has not been modified it is supposed to fit a SA80 Ser. II, however my neck's tenon was still too large for my SA 80 Ser. II and I had to have a repair tech shrink it.
Selmer USA made these necks and stopped production about two years ago. However, looking at the order staus on WWBW I'm guessing that they have resumed production recently. The Mark VI has a larger tenon (if I remeber correctly) than a Ser. II, so if your son is playing a Mk. VI you may need the tenon expanded.

I will also admit to having owned that neck. (I believe that is the neck) I bought the neck from Bootman for my Reference 54. It fit my horn just fine and should work on some of the later Mark VI's without modification. Early to mid Mark VI's will probably need it refitted, but it should still work. It's a good neck, I liked it, but it wasn't enough of a change for me to stick with it. I think that neck has traveled the world at least twice by now. At this point I think it qualifies as a piece of SOTW folklore.
