New Plasticover problems

Anybody else having problems with the new (tan box) plasticovers? I'm noticing a lot of the "black" coming off even the first time I use a reed. I don't remember having that problem in the past. Did they change their process/formulation or something?

No problem with the bari reeds here.

No problems with the tenor & alto reeds here.

I got the same problem with the old ones (when I plyed them) when I played to "hard" at firsts playings with the reeds... 8)

did you change mpc opening or playing recently ? It could be a path to explain that problem...

Try to play gently the first times you use a new plasicover...
