My Cannonball ran around 2300, brand new. Cannonball and Selmer saxophones run really close in playability, so basically a Cannonball would be cheaper but still be one of the top of the line pro horns (selmers are around 5000 dollars). The only thing i dont like about my cannonball is the mouthpiece..i'm planning on trying out a jodyjazz esp pretty soon..hope its worth 330 dollars..lol. Good luck findin a great horn 8)
Oh yeah..i've never heard of a zues sax...

I just got a Cannonball.. it's the gold lacqured body and keys with silver bell, but the price was approximately the same as saxmasta89 (2300) which included the tax.
I know I've seen/heard of Zues before, but I can't place it at the moment.. maybe try doing a search on these forums (button should be at top of the page).
I was able to compare the cannon side by side with a Yamaha 62II.. the price is about the same (through a store, not WWBW or elsewhere online) and the Cannonball won out for me. Not a Selmer, but it fits under the "and all" you mentioned

I got mine for less than $2300 1-1/2 years ago through Scimonetti Music. Drop Jimmy a line and I'm sure he can give you info. I just recently got a soprano from him as well. jimmy@scimonetti.com Scimonetti's and Cannonballs service is second to none!!
