After having trouble getting the fibracells to sound as good as the old ones, I have tried to go back to cane. I ordered a lot of different brands and love the feel of the Alexnder DC reeds. However when I tongue a mid G, A, and High B, the reed chirps as the note begins to come out. I have tried changing the reed placement on the mouthpiece, and the ligature placement, but I can't get the chirp to go away. What causes the chirping, and can I do anything about it, or do I have to try to get another brand to feel as good as these do?
