Im a senior in High School and have finally found the perfect mouthpiece. I use a Beechler Diamond Inlay Alto sax S7S mouthpiece. I find that the only reeds that work the best with it are La Voz medium. I play in restaurants and things that require a lot of solo playing so the brightness is perfect. Intonation is almost perfect compared to my old otto link tone edge piece. I worry about playing it in jazz band and especially when I go on to college jazz bands. Should I try using a cloth ligature for jazz band, or should I get the Beechler M7M for jazz band, or should i just stay with the S7S. (I play 1st alto in jazz band). Any suggestions?

Intonation with Otto Links have been sketchy for me.

A good jazz sound is a good jazz sound, whether it be for a small group or a jazz band. Concentrate on style instead of the mouthpiece. How you blend in a section has less to do with your mouthpiece than your style of playing (and intonation of course but that's a given).

I also use a Beechler Diamond Inlay Alto sax S7S mouthpiece. I play lead alto in a jazz band and have found it to be perfect for the situation. It allows me to cut through when needed and blend with the section really well too. I generally use Rico Jazz Select 2 medium reeds on mine.
I tried a cloth ligature and found it really muffled the sound too much for my liking.

I use an S7S in Jazz band, and find it works very well. I'd say that if there is a brightness problem it can probably be fixed just by using a little extra lower lip.

I used to play La Voz mediums, until I played a Vandoren ZZ 2.5. I will never go back.
