It is made by Rico and is suppose to keep a constant humidity for your reeds. Was thinking about getting the one with the highest level of humidity for my contra-alto clarinet reeds. I currently keep those reeds in the tube that holds M&M's mini and fill it with mouthwash since water will cause mold to grow. If i don't do that, it is very difficult to hit the low notes or crossing the break. The current system works quite well, except one of these days, the top would likely come open and get mouthwash inside the case, which would not be good.

Does this thing work as promised? If so, is this a viable alternative for my current situation?

Thanks-
HC

Dont waste your money, this is the same thing thats been talked about on this forum in regards to reeds in humidifier bags. Yes it works (at least ciger humidifier bags). You would be better off going to a cigar shop and buying a 2 dollar bag there instead of paying the $20+ Rico is probably asking.
