Anyone else doing baffle and chamber mods on their pieces?
My main jazz bari m/p is a Vandoren B75 that I took much of the baffle out of.

Vandoren changed the baffle between the earlier versions of the B75 and the later one I bought.
I liked the old one better, so I decided to experiment on the new one. It still has a nice roll over, but the sharp edges have been taken off.
And yes, I didn't like the sound before...it was much too bright.

Well, I purchased an Otto Link 7* Bari MPC that had a chamber MOD. Man, that thing projects all over the place on my The Martin. Very good work.

I cut down part of the baffle on my Runyon 88 bari piece, rolled it off a little more like the shape of a Custom baffle, but it rolls down a bit earlier.
Worked for me, but who knows. I wanted to increase the effective chamber size, seemed to have that sort of effect. I think it's pretty hit or miss at my level i.e. my first mouthpiece tinkering. Left a couple tiny nicks on the rails too, not big enough to affect playing, but keeps me humble.
