We are now working on our Kessler Custom Tenor Sax mouthpiece OL7. Its facing is a copy of a Vintage Otto Link 7 facing.

It is a hard rubber mouthpeice, round chamber.

We have received a few prototype blanks that are a new blank design that eve unfinished play quite well. We will be putting our OL7 facing on them in the next few days to make sure they are what we want but so far so good.

If you are interested, please e-mail me.

Also, any suggestions as to what some players here would like to see done with the mouthpiece, we are listening... we are still in the prototyping phase and are about ready to put production quality prototypes in for manufacture.

Update:

We have now finished with our final design. We are all VERY pleased with the mouthpiece.

We are going to be ordering production level samples next to make sure that they are what we want. Usually, we will order 12 of them at this phase. If they all turn out like they should, these 12 will be available for sale.

We plan on selling them standard at $115.95 but for SOTW users, I will be selling them at $100.

Anyone who is interested, please e-mail me or call me so that I can put you on my list.

Just thought I'd chime in and say even the unfinished prototype Dave let me try this last Monday at his shop is a fine piece. I compared it to my hard rubber Vintage style Barone 8* which plays quite dark. Dave's piece is brighter in comparison and blows very easy. Worked well with both the Reference 36 and the 54 tenors he had at his shop.

A good piece at a very fair price!
