I am looking for an open .100 high baffle hard rubber MPC that is not expensive. I do have a C*, a Runyon 8 and a Rico Royal M5 and now i want something larger for my Yamaha 23 or LA SAX

What do think would be best?
thanks

Vandoren Jumbo Java comes to mind. I'm not sure what you mean by not expensive but these are pretty reasonable.

I agree with Nefertiti. I played a Jumbo Java T75 on gigs for a few years and had a great sound. Another one that comes to mind in about the same price range is a Berg Larsen 100/0 M hard rubber.

The Vandoren Jumbo Java's are definitely one of the nicer player "stock" mouthpieces out there. However, I found the different facings to play very different. I would try as many different ones as you can.

The different facings are quite different...the T75 is a good medium facing length jazz piece... the T97 is a short facing with an increasing curve. Great for altissimo and really loud, but hard to control at the low end. The smaller tip spacings have increasingly tame, longer facings. However, this is just from a very small sampling of differing vintages.
