Edgware alto reminds you of ...?

a question for you Edgware or Bixley alto players: how would you characterize the "sound" of your horn? i'm planning to replace my Conn "shooting star" with a real alto and thinking of an Edgware alto to go with my tenor.

Xax, I currently have an Edgware Alto and a Shooting Stars Alto, but have never played them back to back. Off the top of my head, sound has a little less spread on the edgware (but both have that "Conn" feel to them), and intonation is improved over the Shooting Stars model. I will get back to you after I've played back to back (the edgware is at a friend's house right now). I will say that the Conn would go before the Edgware, although both are fun to play.
