Linky link. (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160374859295&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT) I've never seen a finish like this. Do you suppose it is original? Do you suppose it's intentional? Wacky.

It looks like it is either copper or copper plated. Not that unusual. But I've never seen a copper Vito before. If we knew who made this stencil, it would probably give us more insight. ;)

Don't you think this is a Beaugnier Vito? The bell brace is a dead giveaway.

I've seen candy apple red and blue lacquer finishes on Selmers of the late 60s and early 70s. Several of them also had Variatone pickups with their control packs mounted on the bell key guards. I recall one such Mk VI alto hanging in a pawn shop window toward the end of the week of the '72 Reno Jazz Festival.

Ah the good ol' days - go to Reno, have a good time, pawn your sax...

It looks like a Beaugnier tenor to me, but I've never seen one that color. Could it be a re-plating job?
