Hi, although i've been playing saxophones for a number of years now, it is only recently that I have decided to indulge my love of composing.

Last year I wrote a piece (8 minutes long) for sax and piano called 'Songs for Claire' which was written in memory of my childhood best friend who sadly died at the age of 10.

It's a really lyrical piece, full of emotion, around grade 6+ standard and the middle movement has timbral trills. It would make a great recital piece and to my delight it was accepted by the first publisher I sent it to.

If you have a moment, please have a listen, feedback/comments are very much appreciated! after following this link http://www.reverbnation.com/keridegg , listen to 'Living life, Troubled times, and Flying free' these are the 3 movements of the piece.

The sheet music with CD (demo and backing tracks) is available here if anyone would like to try it; http://www.musicroom.com/Search/gsearch.aspx?searchtext=degg thanks.

Nice. Probably worth pointing out that the demo tracks are recorded on soprano, which is a little more rare for sax sheet music.

Hi, yes, good point, although the alto version has me playing alto on the CD.

I wrote it originally for soprano sax as it's so sweet and lyrical. It was the publisher who asked if I would consider doing it for alto as well, and it works fine.
