Today a friend of mine gave me an Otto Link mouthpiece (Tenor) becouse he is not playing sax since long time ago and he decided to give his stuff to different friends.
The mouthpiece comes in its original box and is in outstanding shape, looks like new.
My first impression was that it was an STM NY but NY is not stamped anywere in the mouthpiece or the box.
Comparing it to my STM NY looks like the one my friend gave me is slightly thinner and longer.
What Otto Link is this?.
- Left side: My Otto Link STM NY 7
- Right side: The Otto Link i'm asking for (7*)

Yes. Both have been produced for the last several years. The inside chamber of the "NY" is ~.100" wider.

Sorry about my ignorance about mouthpiece general measures but, what does it means? (.100 wider)
And what is the best considered by the general public from this two mouthpieces?.

I dont think that the general public generally consider sax mouthpieces at all, so which do you like?
0.100 is 1/10th of an inch. The larger body chamber diameter is generally considered to make the NY sound a bit huskier / darker than the non NY link STMs.

Checking out Theo Wanne website it seems that this mouthpiece is a "Transitional" STM.

No, not unless it's 115 mm long. Theo's info pertains only to various vintage Links, but this is not vintage. Here's (http://mouthpiecemuseum.com/Misc/OttoLink_Flowchart.jpg) a useful chart that will help you, but those of us who've seen hundreds of these have already identified it as a stock, modern, non-NY, Super Tone Master. $129 or so brand new from a dealer, $75-$100 otherwise.

Here's a pic of a Link 7*STM, unmodified, about 3 years old that I have.
