two questions:
1. How much better is the big bell tenor sax than the older 1998 model?
2. How much does a big bell model go for, and how much could i get for an older unlaquered tenor sax??

The Big Bell and the Knight are totally different animals. The Knight was not a particularly good instrument. Here is a review from a repair tech's point of view:

I have a problem on mine where sometimes when i move from low B down to Bb, the C# key thing will actually open for a split second making the Bb next to impossible to come out.

Stencilman,
I, too, live in Houston. I'm interested in networking and growing music friendships. I work in the Greenway Plaza area.
