How much are the altos going for? I saw them on a web-site last year for about $1800 but they're not selling them anymore. Sam ash in NJ wants $2200 Anyone have a better price? Anyone selling? Looking for a big bell.

got mine in orlando florida for about 1900...not including tax. it was a big bell black nickel alto.

I am still interesetd. I bought a MKVII that I like outside of the pinky keys. The Cannonball is interesting though. You selling?

You might want to check with Nashville Used Music (www.nashvilleusedmusic.com). They have some great deals on Cannonballs (they are new by the way). They also have their own line of horns which are called "Bird". They're made in the same factory and have a few features that the Cannonballs don't have. For example, they have adjustable palm keys. Anyway, I played a Bird against an identical Big Bell Cannonball and couldn't tell any difference. They offered to sell me the Bird for $1400. You might get a similar deal on a Big Bell.
