I just bought this horn off of ebay. I noticed the guy is a new user and I was not sure if the laquer was original. Could you check it out and give me your expert opinions. I am waiting to hear form the seller.
Thanks:

jjgold,
you already seem to have won the auction.
From the photos, it is difficult to judge. I know that a lot of the SDA Buffets have sparkling lacquer, which is quite unique. If yours has this, you can be quite sure that it is original.
Otherwise, you have to go with indications like sharpness of the engraving, quality etc. which is best to see if the horn is in fornt of you.

Hope this helps,
B.

The lacquer on the horn looks well-worn. I used to have one of these and it's lacquer was very light coloured indeed, looked rather like this one. Whether original or not, that's a good price as long as it's in reasonable condition.

If everything works out with that horn then it's the deal of century. I look for those on ebay all the time and I missed that one!
