Does the Antigua Soprano A582LQ have metal tone boosters and is there a dealer for antigua in the NYC area?

Hi, My 582LQ that I got from Kessler Music, has metal domes on the pads. Like the Selmer plastic resonators but metal.

Thanks for the timely reply. I'm still wondering if they have a dealer in the NYC area.

The 582 has metal boosters on all of them? My 586 has metal on top and plastic on the bottom stack.

The Antigua web site has a listing of all of their dealers.

From that site, there are two NYC dealers:

Rincon Musical Inc 696 10th Ave 212.397.4201
Sam Ash Music Co 163 West 48th St 516.932.6400

Dweekie: Yes, metal boosters on all the tone-holes on my 582 (just checked).
What about the other Antigua sops out there?

No, they come with metal riveted domes on all of the pads that can take resonators. Some of the smaller pads have a rivet only. Most of the upper pads are too small for resonators on any soprano.

My 586 has the YS serial number and was purchased straight from kessler almost exactly a year ago. It has plastic resonators from G1/G2 down. I'll ask kessler and see what he says about this particular horn.

My mistake, my Antigua curved soprano has metal resonators, as does my Antigua alto. My A590 soprano has nylon resonators.

I have seen both to tell you the truth.

I think it depends more on what is in stock at the facility in Taiwan to tell you the truth.

Currently, all of my Antigua sopranos (582, 586 & 590) all have metal resonators.
