Dean Foster at Prowinds in Indiana is the greatest. I was in search for the best deal I could find on another pair of Silver Yanagisawa's A9937 and T9937. That was tough enough, but I also wanted the enhanced engraving. Yes, there are TWO engraving styles on these horns, at least there used to be. The version A engraving has extensive engraving all over the body, bell, neck and even the keys on the Alto and Tenor. The version B still has engraving on the neck but less extensive engraving on the body and bell, but also adds engraving on the lip of the bell but does not have engraving on the keys.

I had to educate most dealers on this difference, because obviously, not many dealers sell these models. Dean had the LeBlanc rep go through their warehouse and actually go through the cases of the few horns they had in stock to find the version A engraved models. They happend to still have at least one of each, and these are probably the very last of their kind because Yanagisawa has stopped producing the version A enhanced engraved models because of the cost associated with them. They will only produce the version B engraved models from now on.

I tip my hat to Dean Foster because he went above and beyond, and was the only dealer I contacted that went so far as to contact the Leblanc rep to have them actually go look to see what was in the warehouse.

Prowinds will have my business now and in the future.

Thanks Dean and Prowinds!!!

At the NASA convention last week I had the opportunity to see the work that Steve in the ProWinds repair department is doing. It looks like Pro-Winds repair work is as good as their customer service. The work that they are doing is very meticulous and thoughtful. I also got to hang out with Steve and Matt from ProWinds; a couple of great guys!
