Hi Akanaz,
It varies a little - if its a RevD and gold plated and in very good shape..... I paid $1500 for a reasonable laquer Rev D -say 20% more for old plate in the current sax sale climate.
If it is a gold medal I maybe a bit more.
Have a look at Saxpics.com, look at worldwide sax.com, junkdude.com, USAhorn.com(expensive),Paul maslin and a few other dealers - will give you a dealers price.
This is not a great time to sell as the price of saxes has dropped quite a bit over the last 12mths.
You will get some other opinions here - consider them alll , look at the sites and maybe do a completed sales search on ebay.
Steve Goodson has a vintage sax value guide but it can give quite unrealistic pricing in the current climate. Those prices were acheivable maybe 2 yrs ago in some cases but it will give you a feel for the market
Good luck with your research- once you settle on a price - I (and many others on this site) could be interested - especially if it is a MarkI. I would make you an offer but I think you should do your homework first!
Pete
PS I am talking alto here
