Evette Schaeffer

Received a Sax from a friend. I was wondering if any one could tell me any thing about it. On the front of the bell it says Evette Schaeffer.
With engraving like leaves. And on the back under the thumb holder the s/n 239xx. It plays very good. My son uses it for school. my other son uses a yamaha 23. I just never heard of the schaeffer. Where it was made, how old :?:
