I have recently taught myself to arrange pieces for my quartet using Finale notation software. If you are interested, I would love to exchange sheet music by email. I can provide the sheet music notation in .pdf format, or in the native format of Finale (.mus). I can also email an mp3 file of a synthesized version of any of my arrangements if you would like to have a listen. Disclaimer: I have no formal musical training, so I am sure I have made some rookie errors. Also, my arrangements are not great in terms of articulation noted. But, my quartet has played most of them, and if played musically, many sound pretty good. -Jim
So far, I have arranged:
Oblah-Di Oblah-Dah
Moondance
Brown Eyed Girl
What'd I Say
When a Man Loves a Woman
Whiter Shade of Pale
Runaway
Boadicea
Sweet Baby James
Dancing Queen
Conga
The Lion Sleeps Tonight
Flatbush Waltz (Klezmer)
Komaromi (Klezmer)
Don't Worry, Be Happy
No Woman No Cry / Let It Be
Norwegian Wood
Phantom of the Opera
And currently working on:
Brick House

For a sax quartet do you think you could do Fudge Fugue?
My email is mpartlow@live.com
Thanks A LOT in advance,
Michael

I'm actually more interested in exchanging arrangements with other people who have arranged pieces. Since I first posted, I've arranged these additional songs:
Somewhere Over The Rainbow
Take On Me
For The Longest Time
Looney Tunes (Warner Bros. cartoon theme)
Star Wars Cantina Theme
Reach Out, I'll Be There (4 Tops)
Lady Madonna
And I gave up on Brick House.

Hey there,
I'm interested in performing one of these pieces this coming summer at a music camp that I am a counselor at. I think they would be excellent arrangements and would humbly request to use some of the more advanced arrangemens if you would be open to it.
Thank you.

Saxaphiend,
These arrangements are all pretty simple to moderate in terms of difficulty. And actually I am interested in exchanging arrangements with others who arrange their own music. I would like to be discrete. Although these are my own arrangements, I have not pursued getting permission from composers or publishers. If I start distributing these arrangements, it could stir up trouble. I am willing to exchange with other amateur arrangers "on principal". So, if you have your own arrangements you'd like to trade, let's talk further (private message).
Thanks,
Jim

I posted this in the classical forum also so hope I am not breaking forum rules.
Anyone can have my slightly quirky arrangement of Manhattan that I did sometime ago. You can download it here but I don't need to swap arrangements as I write for sax quartet but don't play in one :

Hi Jim
I have a sax trio of a different version of Super Mario Bro. Medley I did for a mini concert last month (tenor lead with alto, bari). I plan on changing it (more medley elements to come) for a future concert but I'd love to see your version of "For the longest time" in exchange for this arrangement. I also have a very very basic beginnings of a Holmes Brothers version of Cheap Tricks "I want you to want me" Its for a trio and rhythm section - it could be way more complex but it still sounds great if you want to do an exchange for that as well. You tube videos of these arrangements should be up in the next few days.
