I just got a Super King handmade from auction and I notice that it's slightly different from the one made by the machines.
Handmade model seems a bit narrower and baffle seems slightly different. I haven't had the chance to play and compare them, but anyone else notice any difference like this? :?:

I have noticed that there are major differences between the same models of Daves handmade mouthpieces. I once player 4 handmade MBII's and each one played differently. The tip openings were even different.

If I remember correctly -- the laser trimmed pieces were copies of a "good" handmade mouthpiece. The CNC technology used assures that the pieces are at least "in the ballpark" with the modeled mouthpieces, so I would wrap it up with this.

There are a lot of differences in the same models of the handmade.

The Laser trimmed are more similar to each other but each piece will still be slightly different from the other because CNC isn't perfect.
